This notice explains how EarlyRoot uses personal information when you visit this website, contact us or use our platform through your school.
EarlyRoot builds software that helps UK secondary schools run and evidence work experience. For this website and our own contacts, we are the controller of your information. You can reach us at [email protected].
We use your message to reply, arrange a demo and follow up about EarlyRoot. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our service. We use analytics only with your consent. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
We keep enquiry emails for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case our agreement with your school or organisation applies.
Schools stay in control of their pupils' data. For the platform, the school is the controller and EarlyRoot is its processor, working only on the school's instructions under a data processing agreement. Data is hosted in the UK, protected in transit and at rest, and never sold. Pupils and parents should contact their school about their information first.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run our service, such as our hosting and email providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We will update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.

These terms apply when you use earlyroot.co.uk and the live demo. By using the site, you agree to them. Schools and trusts that subscribe to EarlyRoot sign a separate agreement, which takes priority over these terms.
You may browse the site and try the live demo for your own information and to evaluate EarlyRoot. Please do not misuse the site, try to break its security, or copy large parts of it.
The demo uses an example school, and every pupil, employer and figure in it is made up. Nothing you enter in the demo is saved or sent to us.
The EarlyRoot name, logo, design and content belong to EarlyRoot. You may share links to our pages, but please ask before reusing our content or brand.
We work hard to keep the site accurate and up to date, including our prices and guidance references, but it is general information rather than advice. The terms of your agreement with us decide exactly what is included in your plan.
We link to other sites such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
We provide the website as it is. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website or the demo.
